Eligibility
| Membership Type | Eligibility |

| Ordinary Members | Any academic staff members at a University or other higher education institution in Australia, New Zealand or its region, who teaches in a programme or course of Ukrainian Studies, or who is engaged in research work in the field of Ukrainian Studies, and any graduate student in Ukrainian Studies at a recognised university or institution of higher education in Australia or its region, shall be eligible to become an Ordinary Member of the Association and to hold office on the Committee. Ordinary Members shall have a full vote at General Meetings of the Association. An Ordinary Member will not cease to be an Ordinary Member by reason only of a change in his or her employment status. |
| Associate Members | Any person with tertiary qualifications other than in Ukrainian Studies and with substantial record of research in Ukrainian Studies or in the promotion or development of Ukrainian Studies in Australia or New Zealand may be admitted as an Associate Member by the Committee. Associate Members shall have a full vote at General Meetings of the Association and one of their number at any time may be a member of the Committee. |
| Supporting Members | Any person with tertiary qualifications actively interested in Ukrainian Studies, and any undergraduate student in a Ukrainian Studies course or programme at a recognised university or institution of higher learning in Australia or its region may be admitted as a Supporting Member by the Committee. Supporting members shall have a vote of counsel at General Meetings of the Association. |
| Honorary Members | Any scholar of distinction in Ukrainian Studies, including scholars not resident in Australia or New Zealand, may be elected as Honorary Member by a General Meeting on the recommendation of the Committee. The total number of honorary members shall not exceed five and not more than two shall be elected at any one General Meeting. |
