The Association of Ukrainian Studies Scholars of Australia and New Zealand (AUANZ) brings together Ukrainian studies scholars working in various disciplines across the region. The objectives of the Association are:

• to promote Ukrainian studies in Australia and New Zealand. To this end, the Association fosters cooperation among scholars working in different areas of Ukrainian studies; promotes links with overseas scholars and research institutions; supports research and publications in the field of Ukrainian studies; encourages the development of Ukrainian studies teaching at Australian and New Zealand universities and other higher education institutions; organises scholarly conferences of the Association from time to time; informs members about the International Congresses of Ukrainian Studies, which are held every three years, and encourages Ukrainianists from Australia and New Zealand to participate in them;
• to be affiliated with the International Association of Ukrainian Studies;
• to maintain contact with other scholarly organisations;
• to publish a bilingual non-periodical bulletin.

Асоціація україністів Австралії та Нової Зеландії (АУАНЗ) об’єднає україністів у різних галузях, які діють у цьому регіоні. Завданнями Асоціації є:

• сприяти україністичним студіям в Австралії і Новій Зеландії. З цією метою Асоціація сприяє співпраці науковців, які працюють у різних галузях україністики; сприяє зв’язкам з закордонними вченими й науковими установами; сприяє дослідам та публікаціям у галузі україністики; сприяє розвиткові навчання україністики в австралійських та новозеландських університетах та інших вищих навчальних закладах; влаштовує від часу до часу наукові конференції Асоціації; повідомляє про Міжнародні Конгреси Україністів, які відбуваються щотри роки, та заохочує до участі в них україністів з Австралії та Нової Зеландії;
• бути приєднаною до Міжнародної Асоціації Україністів;
• втримувати зв’язок з іншими науковими організаціями;
• видавати двомовний неперіодичний бюлетень.
