Membership structure
| Type | Eligibility |

| Ordinary Members | Any academic staff member at a University or other higher education institution in Australia or New Zealand, who teaches in a programme or course of Ukrainian Studies or who is engaged in research work in the field of Ukrainian Studies, any graduate student in Ukrainian Studies at a recognised university or institution of higher education in Australia or New Zealand, and any person with tertiary qualifications other than in Ukrainian Studies and with a substantial record of research in Ukrainian Studies or in the promotion or development of Ukrainian Studies in Australia or New Zealand may be admitted as an Ordinary Member of the Association and may hold office on the Committee. Ordinary Members shall have a full vote at General Meetings of the Association. |
| Associate Members | Any person with tertiary qualifications actively interested in Ukrainian Studies, and any undergraduate student in a Ukrainian Studies course or programme at a recognised university or institution of higher learning in Australia or New Zealand, may be admitted as an Associate Member by the Committee. Associate members shall have a full vote at General Meetings of the Association. |
| Honorary Members | Any scholar of distinction in Ukrainian Studies, including scholars not resident in Australia or New Zealand, may be elected an Honorary Member by a General Meeting on the recommendation of the Committee. The total number of honorary members shall not exceed five and not more than two shall be elected at any one General Meeting. |
| Institutional Members | Any corporate entity which pays the Institutional Membership Fee may be admitted to Institutional Membership by the Committee. The Institutional Membership Fee will be determined from time to time by the Committee. An authorised representative of an Institutional Member shall have a vote of counsel at General Meetings of the Association. |
| Benefactor Members | Any person who pays the Benefactor Membership Fee may be admitted to Benefactor Membership by the Committee. The Benefactor Membership Fee will be determined from time to time by the Committee. A Benefactor Member shall have a vote of counsel at General Meetings of the Association. |
