ANZJES Special Issue 2013

Selected papers from the conference “Ukraine: Language, Culture, Identity”, which took place at Monash University on 15-16 February 2013, appeared in a special issue of the Australian & New Zealand Journal of European Studies in 2013. The conference was held under the joint auspices of the Mykola Zerov Centre for Ukrainian Studies at Monash University, the Ukrainian Studies Association of Australia and the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Australia. The selected papers coverer the following topics: language and identity, literature, social transition, and history as represented in film and onstage.

In addition, this issue contained several commentaries, which will focus on the social and political dimensions of the European Union and, more specifically, on Ukraine’s relations with the EU.
